Mr. Md. Abu Nafiz qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2012, and is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB). He joined Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC. on August 11, 2024, as Deputy Managing Director-Head of Internal Audit and Compliance (HIAC). He also served as Head of Internal Audit and Compliance at Walton Group from 2016 to 2019. He has more than 16.5 years of experience in senior positions in Chartered Accountant Firms, Manufacturing, Textiles, IT Sector, Electronics Sector, and Foreign Joint Venture Coal-Fired Super Critical Thermal Power Plant Company. A dedicated professional accountant with strong managerial skills and experience working with foreign consultants, foreign lenders, and insurers. He has expertise in process development for large-scale operations.

He brings extensive expertise in assessing and enhancing the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management processes, and governance frameworks. With a strong foundation in financial auditing, compliance, and operational efficiency, he is dedicated to ensuring organizational integrity and fostering a culture of accountability. He has experience to develop and monitor the internal audit plan, budgetary control system, and business planning.

He has decent knowledge in compliance verification on facility agreements, EPC contracts, implementation agreements (IA), power purchase agreement (PPA), shareholders’ agreement, owner’s engineers (OE) agreement, operation and maintenance (O&M) agreement, and other corporate agreements.

Mr. Nafiz processes the ability to provide a high standard of internal control system and ensure the entity’s internal and regulatory compliance, BSEC laws, etc. He is hardworking, dynamic, and capable of leading a large number of team members.
