He has completed his graduation & post-graduation in 1987 and 1988 respectively from the University of Rajshahi. His visionary leadership in the sector of Electrical & Electronics business is one of the key factors for making Walton a multi-national brand. In the sector of Air Conditioner, Mr. S M Mahbubul Alam brought some revolutionary changes and remarkable achievements. Due to him, Bangladeshi people were first introduced with premium quality Air Conditioners with affordable price and a lot of fascinating features such as 70% power saving, frost clean, smart control, etc. Furthermore, Walton became the first ever local brand to export Air Conditioner overseas. His discreet decisions made Walton Air Conditioner achieve the height of global standard with all the necessary certifications. Inclusion of offline voice control, UV care to Air Conditioner and commercially manufacturing Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) are the results of his shrewd business tactics which added a different dimension to Walton Brand. Under his direction, Walton has the largest mold & die project and screw project in Bangladesh. His perception of life has always been achieving dream through hard work. Moreover, Mr. Alam, a delightful soft-hearted person, has always admired Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR), Games & Sports, Social Awareness Programs, Vocational/Technical Education & Cultural Activities domestically & internationally. He has great interest & passion in writing lyrics, composing music as well as an intuitive power to write poems in Bangla. A vast number of songs are available on YouTube in the name of Khalid’s Sangeet. He is also a respected member of the Audit Committee of Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC.
